Kiwi.com Booking Was Canceled Because I Did Not Have a Transit Visa
On September 30, 2026, I purchased a Wizz Air ticket through Kiwi.com for a flight from Podgorica to Istanbul with connections in Milan and Tirana. I paid a total of approximately $102 for the booking. When I arrived at the airport on the day of travel, all my flights were canceled because I did not have a visa for Milan, and I was unable to complete my journey.
There was only one representative from the ticket-selling company at the airport. They provided no information or assistance and behaved in a dismissive and indifferent manner. Most importantly, when I purchased the ticket through Kiwi.com, there was no clear or visible warning about visa requirements for connecting flights through countries that require a visa. Even though visa requirements can apply to transit passengers in such countries, Kiwi.com failed to provide clear and prominent information about this issue, resulting in the inconvenience and financial loss I experienced.
I demand that Kiwi.com clearly and explicitly warn its customers about visa requirements for connections in countries where a visa may be required and immediately improve its information and notification procedures. I also want this complaint to be taken seriously so that others can see the problems I experienced with the website's service and customer support and take precautions to avoid similar situations.
