Hornet Shared My Phone Number Without Consent and I’m Getting Harassing Calls

My phone number was shared without my permission on the Hornet app, and ever since, I’ve been receiving constant unwanted calls. This is a serious invasion of privacy, and it’s deeply unsettling. I never authorized my number to be made public on the platform, and now I’m being harassed because of it.

What’s worse is that I’m not the only one. A few people in my close circle have also had their numbers exposed by fake profiles, and they’re experiencing the same harassment. This points to a broader security issue within the app that Hornet is clearly failing to address.

I tried to contact the Hornet team for help, but all they offer is an email address with no real support or resolution. There’s no proper reporting mechanism within the app, and no clear way to remove our numbers or stop the calls.

Hornet, this is unacceptable. You are responsible for protecting your users’ privacy. I’m demanding an immediate investigation into how my number was shared, the removal of any profile connected to my information, and real action to prevent this from happening again. Fix this now and give users a way to protect their privacy.
