Heinz Changed Its Tomato Soup Meatballs and Ruined a Gluten-Free Favorite
After learning Heinz updated their Tomato Soup recipe to include Meatballs, I'm really underwhelmed. The product is a go-to dinner for many people with dietary limitations, including me since the original meatballs were excellent and gluten-free. For those with gluten sensitivity or coeliac disease, the food is off-limits recently due to a change in meatball supplier that employs gluten. Even bad is the practically exact design of the package, which makes it easy to overlook the alteration unless you examine the fine print. Heinz seems to give cost-cutting top priority over consumer loyalty. Given a company with such a long-standing reputation, this action seems to be a step back in catering various dietary requirements.
