I Can't Play GTA 5 Online with My Friend (PS4 vs PS5)

My friend owns a PS5 and I have a PS4. I bought and installed the GTA 5 game using his disc, expecting we'd easily play online together, but we simply can't join the same session! We're both visible to each other as friends in the game, yet Rockstar won't let us connect on the same server. Is it because we’re using different consoles? Did I waste my money because of version incompatibility issues? Rockstar Games, it's 2025—why is this crossplay issue still a thing? This is beyond frustrating and makes no sense, especially considering the amount we pay for your games. Solve this immediately! I demand clarity and quick action so players like us aren’t left feeling cheated and confused.
