Grand Theft Auto keeps crashing on PC despite good specs, how can I fix it?

First ensure your game and graphics drivers are fully updated. Visit the Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, or Epic Games to check for updates.

Also, update your GPU drivers through NVIDIA or AMD’s official websites. Restart your PC after installing updates.

Next, verify the integrity of game files to check for corrupted data. On Steam, right-click GTA V in your library, go to Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.

On Rockstar Launcher, open Settings > My Installed Games > GTA V > Verify Integrity. If issues persist, try running the game as an administrator and disabling background apps that might interfere.

If crashes continue, adjust in-game settings by lowering graphics settings, disabling extended distance scaling, or switching to DirectX 11.

You can also delete the settings.xml file in Documents > Rockstar Games > GTA V. For further assistance, check Rockstar Support or reinstall the game as a last resort.

If you have experienced a similar issue, please feel free to share. You can also file a complaint on Xolvie.
