GoDaddy Showed ₺40 for a Domain, Then Changed to ₺99 After I Added It to Cart
I recently attempted to purchase an expired domain through GoDaddy. When I first viewed the listing, the price was clearly shown as $40. However, the moment I signed up and added the domain to my cart, it suddenly displayed a message saying the domain had already been purchased—and the price jumped to $99.
This bait-and-switch pricing tactic is unacceptable and misleading. I tried to contact customer service immediately to resolve the issue, but it was outside business hours, and no support was available.
I will also be reporting this incident to CİMER (Presidency’s Communication Center) in Turkey because I believe GoDaddy should be investigated for these inconsistent and deceptive pricing practices.
GoDaddy, I expect transparency and fairness. I demand an explanation and that you honor the original price shown. Practices like this erode customer trust and must be corrected immediately.
