Fiverr Bank Verification Scam Took $135 From My Account

Hello, in order to receive payment for a Fiverr service, I was told that my bank account needed to be verified. They said I had to have $150 in my account for the verification, and $135 was withdrawn from my account.

Then I was told that if I deposited another $135, the money would be returned to my account. But since I don’t have an extra $135, I cannot get my $135 back right now.

How can something like this even be possible? I was never informed of this requirement before they withdrew the money.
