FetLife Asked Me for My ID Right After I Signed Up
On September 1, 2024, I made a FetLife account, and to be honest, it wasn't a great experience. I got an email saying that a lot of people were reporting me just because I didn't have a photo within 15 minutes of making my profile. The email made me want to upload one right away, but when I clicked the link, FetLife asked me for my ID before I could go on. That was a big warning sign for me. I won't give my personal information to a website just because I'm new and they say I'm "under attack." It seems unnecessary, intrusive, and a little shady. FetLife made a bad first impression on me, even though it should be a friendly site.
