FaceApp Switched My Monthly Plan to Annual and Charged $28 at Once
I had purchased a monthly FaceApp Premium membership for $6 per month, and the app consistently displayed this as a fixed $6 monthly charge. Today, however, I discovered that $28 had been taken from my Enpara credit card in a single transaction — without any knowledge or approval on my part. I absolutely did not make or authorize this charge.
When I contacted my bank about the situation, my card was canceled as a security precaution, which left me unable to use my card at all — adding yet another layer of harm on top of everything else. I also reached out to FaceApp directly but have received no response whatsoever.
I never wanted an annual subscription and never approved one. Having $28 taken from my account without my consent is something I regard as unjust enrichment. I am demanding that this unauthorized charge be reversed and that the full $28 be refunded to me as soon as possible.
