The last two times I ordered on Etsy, I had difficulties communicating with the seller. How do I know the seller is trustworthy?

A smooth Etsy transaction starts with checking the seller's trustworthiness before buying:

Examine their shop profile first. Consider their "On Etsy Since" date, as a longer history suggests more experience and reliability. Check out their Shop About section for professionalism, passion, and transparency about their values and practices. Check their shop policies, especially refunds, returns, and cancellations, for customer-friendliness.

Next, read their reviews. Use recent feedback, preferably within six months, to assess their communication and customer service. Look for consistent positive reviews praising their communication, responsiveness, and problem-solving. Shops with few reviews, especially if they're all positive, may be biased.

Seller communication channels should be assessed. Can they be reached via Etsy, email, or social media? How quickly they respond to reviews and questions in listing comments indicates their responsiveness.

Finally, check their listings. Product descriptions: clear, detailed, accurate? Do they use high-quality, multi-angle product photos? Check their engagement by seeing how quickly and they answer listing comments and questions. Before buying on Etsy, you can assess the seller's trustworthiness by reviewing these factors.

Your comments and feedback are highly appreciated.
