eSIM.io Data Package Caused Unexpected Mobile Charges

I purchased an international data package through the eSIM.io app, but after purchasing the package, I discovered that my phone does not support eSIM services. Since I did not want the balance I had purchased to go to waste, we tried logging into the app on my spouse’s phone. Although the app appeared to show that we were accessing the internet through the eSIM, all of the actual internet usage was charged through my spouse’s regular mobile line.

Because of this, my spouse’s line was charged a high amount of data usage under the regular carrier rate, without any warning or clear instructions from the app. We have now had to pay approximately $24 in additional charges. At the same time, I can still see a $2.09 balance in my eSIM.io account, meaning I was unable to fully use the eSIM balance I purchased, while a high charge was also generated through my spouse’s mobile line. In addition, I ended up purchasing a $5 package from eSIM.io that I was unable to use as intended.

I believe the app did not provide sufficient warnings or clear information about which mobile line would be used for data. As a result, I believe I was unfairly charged and experienced financial harm. I request that eSIM.io resolve this issue and refund the unused $6 amount I paid.
