Dyson Vacuum Seals Came Off After One Wash

What a waste of money! The rubber seals on the dust bin came off after just one use and won't go back on. Later, I learned that the dust bucket shouldn't be washed. This made me wonder why this wasn't made clear at the beginning. If the seals are only going to come off after one wash, why wasn't I told this before? It's easy to wash the dustbin in most vacuums, so what's different about this one? I feel lied to and let down because I wasn't given clear directions. If I had known that washing the container would break it, I would have done something different. It's annoying that such an important detail wasn't made clear during the buying process.
