I Saw Cats Roaming on Tables at Cafe Nero—Unhygienic and Unacceptable

I recently visited Cafe Nero in Ataşehir, and although I understand the cold weather may lead people to seek shelter for street animals, I was shocked to witness cats walking and being fed directly on dining tables inside the cafe. I saw a customer feeding a cat on the table—right where people eat their sandwiches—which is absolutely unhygienic and inappropriate in a food service environment.
After I raised my concern, the staff did warn the customer, and I appreciate that. But this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Animals, especially stray ones, should never be allowed to roam freely on tables used by other guests.
I’m calling on Cafe Nero’s management to urgently enforce health and hygiene rules, set clearer boundaries, and provide animal-safe spaces if needed. Please protect your customers' health and ensure your locations remain clean, respectful, and professional.
