My Bosch DWK68AK80T/02 range hood has developed corrosion on its aluminum frame. I purchased the product on October 26, 2023, and noticed the corrosion last week.

Since the day I purchased it, I have cleaned the range hood exclusively with Fairy dishwashing liquid and a damp, wet cloth, without using any abrasive cleaning products. I also cleaned the affected aluminum frame much less frequently than the other surfaces. Despite this careful maintenance, corrosion has appeared on the aluminum frame within a relatively short period. I consider this a potential material defect and a latent defect in the product.

When I contacted the authorized service center, I was informed that the warranty period had expired and that the affected part could only be replaced for a fee. However, I do not accept being held entirely responsible for this problem when I have not done anything that could constitute user error.

I believe that corrosion of this nature should not occur under normal and careful use and that the issue may be caused by a manufacturing or material defect. Therefore, I request that the corrosion affecting the aluminum frame be evaluated as a product defect regardless of the warranty period.

I expect Bosch to replace the affected aluminum frame free of charge and repair the range hood at no cost. I also request that my complaint be reviewed again and that a customer-focused solution be offered. I look forward to a satisfactory resolution of this matter.
