If your Avast antivirus constantly shows ads, discount offers, or update notifications, it’s because marketing notifications are enabled in the program settings.
The company uses pop-up windows to promote additional products, but users have every right to disable them.
To remove ads and notifications:
Open the Avast interface and go to Menu → Settings → General → Notifications.
Enable Silent Mode (or Do Not Disturb Mode).
Uncheck the boxes next to Show special offer notifications and Inform me about other Avast products.
For extra assurance, open Performance → Do Not Disturb Mode and add all frequently used applications — this way, Avast won’t interrupt you with pop-ups while using them.
If you’re using the free version of Avast, ads are partially built into the product. In that case, switching to the paid Avast Premium version will allow you to completely disable marketing notifications.
Don’t let your antivirus interfere with your work.
If Avast continues to display ads even after disabling notifications, submit a complaint on Xolvie. Your feedback will help consumers push for a fairer and more user-friendly product.
