Alibaba supplier changed product specs after payment, how do I protect my rights now?

If an Alibaba supplier changed the product specifications after you paid, first check whether your order was placed through Trade Assurance and review the agreed specs in your contract, proforma invoice, and chat history in Alibaba Messages.

Download all evidence and immediately open a dispute in your Alibaba order page before the protection period expires.

Submit clear proof showing the original specs and the supplier’s changes, and request a refund or correction through the Trade Assurance claim process.

If payment was made by credit card, consider initiating a chargeback in parallel and avoid confirming receipt until the issue is formally resolved.
