Zillow has several homes in my area listed as “pending", what does it mean?

When a Zillow listing shows a property as "pending," it means an offer has been accepted, and the sale is in progress, but the property is no longer available for purchase.

"Pending" typically involves three stages: an offer has been accepted by the seller, the buyer is conducting due diligence (inspections, appraisals, etc.), and both parties are working toward finalizing the sale during the closing process.

While the deal is likely to close, there's still a chance it could fall through due to financing or inspection issues.
