YouTube App Keeps Freezing on Android After 2 Minutes
For about the past two weeks, I've been experiencing a serious freezing issue with the YouTube app on my Android phone. The problem seemed to start after I repeatedly selected the "Not interested" option on YouTube Premium ads. Videos play normally at first, but after a short time they freeze, stop loading, and won't continue. I have a fiber internet connection with no speed or stability issues, and none of my other apps have this problem.
I have no trouble opening the YouTube app, and videos start playing almost instantly. However, after about one or two minutes, playback suddenly freezes as if my internet connection has been disconnected. The video never resumes, even though my connection is working fine. Closing and reopening the app does not fix the issue, and the videos still refuse to load, making YouTube almost impossible to use.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app, updated it to the latest version, cleared the cache, and tried other basic troubleshooting steps, but nothing has resolved the problem. Since the issue began shortly after I started selecting "Not interested" on YouTube Premium ads, I am concerned that this may somehow be related, and I can't help but wonder whether my experience has been affected because I chose not to subscribe to Premium.
I ask YouTube to explain the cause of this freezing issue, perform a thorough technical investigation, and provide a permanent fix. I also request that YouTube ensure users who do not subscribe to Premium can continue using the service without interruptions or unnecessary playback problems.
