On June 2, 2025, at 9:27 PM, I placed a Maxi XL Menu order from Popeyes Istanbul Zeytinburnu Beştelsiz through Uber Eats. My order included an XL burger, a bucket of fries, nuggets, two spicy wings, a light cola, extra tenders, and chipotle, blackened ranch, and spicy barbecue sauces — all of which I paid for separately. Instead, I received what was essentially a completely different order: a Popchicken kids sandwich, a bucket of fries, onion rings, nuggets, and a Coke Zero — with none of the sauces I had paid for.
The moment my food arrived, I called Uber Eats customer service and told them I did not want to eat the food, that I wanted to return it, and that they were welcome to come pick it up if needed. Despite this, I was told nothing could be done. I submitted a refund request through the app assistant — it was rejected. I then connected with live support to ask why, and was told my request did not meet the refund criteria. I submitted another request with photos attached — that was rejected too.
When I called customer service again, I was told my request was being denied because I had previously received refunds from other restaurants on Uber Eats. In total, I submitted four refund requests and every single one was rejected. I feel that standing up for myself when Uber Eats delivered wrong orders in the past is now being used against me — and that I am being penalized for it.
Despite receiving an entirely wrong and incomplete order, no solution was ever offered and I was not given adequate attention throughout this process.
I am requesting a full refund of the amount I paid. I am also asking for a formal apology from both Popeyes and Uber Eats for this negligent handling, along with a complimentary Maxi XL Menu with the correct contents as a gesture of goodwill.
