About 6 months ago, I noticed that the left rear door of my Tesla Model Y does not close properly. The vehicle is still under warranty, has never been in an accident, and does not even have a single scratch. Despite being kept in a garage and not used very frequently, there is a clear alignment issue with the left rear door. This problem appears to be due to improper installation during manufacturing, and it is very concerning that such an issue has occurred without any user-related cause.

When I contacted Tesla on March 5, 2026, to report the issue, I was told that this problem is not covered under warranty and that I would need to have it fixed at my own expense by an external body shop. I cannot accept that the responsibility for what seems to be a manufacturing defect is being placed on the customer, especially when there is no record of any damage or accident.

I expect Tesla to treat this door alignment issue as a manufacturing defect under warranty, carry out the necessary repairs free of charge, and stand behind their product. I request that this issue be resolved quickly and fairly.
