I Keep Seeing Inappropriate Sugo App Ads on Instagram and 12+ Rated Games
For the past 12 days, I’ve been constantly exposed to highly inappropriate ads for the “Sugo” dating app while using Instagram and several mobile games that are rated 12+, like Bowmaster. These ads appear daily and are deeply concerning considering the platforms they’re shown on are accessible to children and teenagers.
Despite reporting the ads multiple times through the in-app complaint systems, absolutely nothing has changed. The same offensive and suggestive ads keep reappearing. It's disturbing that these platforms are allowing such content to circulate unchecked, especially in spaces that are supposed to be safe for younger audiences.
The content of these Sugo ads is simply not suitable for children. The visual imagery and messaging are clearly designed for adults, yet they’re being pushed on apps with low age restrictions.
I am demanding that Meta (Instagram) and relevant app publishers take immediate steps to prevent these types of sexually suggestive and age-inappropriate ads from appearing on child-accessible platforms. Ads like these should be filtered out and flagged, not pushed on users indiscriminately. Protect your younger users—start moderating your ad content responsibly.
Hello, First of all, we would like to sincerely express our regret for the discomfort you have experienced. Your complaint is extremely valuable to us. As Sugo, we take utmost care to ensure that our advertising content is suitable for all age groups and adheres to ethical standards. However, since the management of advertising spaces is sometimes handled by third-party ad services, there may occasionally be systemic errors in targeting and display. As you mentioned, the appearance of such content in 12+ age group applications or on platforms accessible to children is absolutely not in line with our policies. We have immediately contacted the relevant advertising agencies and publishing platforms regarding this issue. Efforts have been initiated to review the necessary filters and to more strictly control the display areas. Thank you for reaching out to us during this process. Please know that we will closely monitor the situation to prevent similar incidents from occurring again. Best regards, Sugo Support Team
