Rockstar Support Submission Error Blocks Account Recovery for RDR2 Player
On November 5, 2023, at 14:47, I purchased Red Dead Redemption 2 via Steam (Transaction ID: 3642909287440185380). However, later that same year, my Steam account was hacked, and my game was linked to someone else’s Rockstar Games account without my permission.
After regaining access to my Steam account, I tried launching RDR2, but I couldn’t access it because the game is now connected to another email address, and the system requests an email verification that I can’t complete.
I contacted Steam Support, and they informed me that only Rockstar Games can fix this issue, advising me to reach out to Rockstar Social Club Support. Unfortunately, when I tried submitting a request through Rockstar’s support system, I kept getting a “Submission Error” message, so my ticket couldn’t be sent.
Both the email and username originally linked to the game belong to me, and I’m requesting that the unauthorized email be unlinked from my game so that I can reconnect it to my own email address. I ask that this issue be resolved urgently, as I am the rightful owner of the game and the Steam purchase can be verified.
