Proton VPN auto-renewed without warning, anyone know how to stop unexpected charges?

If Proton VPN auto-renewed without warning and you want to stop unexpected charges;

Cancel auto-renewal immediately;

• Proton website:
– Log in → Account → Dashboard → Subscription
– Turn off Auto-renew
• App Store (iOS):
– Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Proton VPN → Cancel
• Google Play:
– Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Proton VPN → Cancel

Make sure it’s fully canceled;

• Check that it shows Canceled / Will not renew
• Take a screenshot as proof
• Check your email (including spam) for a cancellation confirmation

Contact Proton Support;

• Say your plan auto-renewed without clear notice
• Provide:
– Charge date and amount
– Account email
– Platform used for payment

Ask them to;

• Confirm why the renewal happened
• Disable auto-renew on their backend
• Refund the unexpected renewal charge

If Proton refuses or delays;
