I entered my Ledger PIN incorrectly several times and the device reset. How can I restore access using my recovery seed phrase?

If you entered the wrong PIN three times, Ledger resets to factory settings. This is a security feature. Your funds are safe on the blockchain and can be restored using your 24-word recovery phrase.

Step 1: Choose “Restore from recovery phrase.”
Turn on the device and select the restore option instead of setting it up as new.

Step 2: Enter your 24 words carefully.
Input the recovery phrase directly on the Ledger device using the buttons. Never type it on a computer or website. The words must be in the exact original order.

Step 3: Set a new PIN.
After successful recovery, create a new secure PIN code.

Step 4: Reinstall apps in Ledger Live.
Open Ledger Live → Manager and reinstall crypto apps (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.), then go to Accounts → Add account to resync balances.

If accounts don’t appear, ensure you used the correct recovery phrase and any additional passphrase (25th word), if previously set.

Without the 24-word seed phrase, recovery is impossible.
