Knorr Bolognese Pasta Sauce Packaging Misleads Consumers

I purchased eight packages of Knorr Bolognese Pasta Sauce because I frequently eat bolognese sauce when dining out and it is not available in every grocery store, so I wanted to stock up when I found it. I shop at many different stores at different times, but I believe I most likely purchased this product from File Market at the beginning of August, and I paid approximately $13 in total.
When I opened one of the packages to use it for making spaghetti, I noticed that it contained no meat pieces at all, even though ground meat is one of the main components traditionally associated with bolognese sauce. Because the package clearly says “Bolognese Pasta Sauce” and features an image of a meat-based dish, I expected there to be at least some pieces of ground meat and believed I was purchasing an actual bolognese sauce or something very similar to one. Considering that ingredients such as meat or soy pieces are commonly used in many ready-made soups and processed foods today, I believe the complete absence of any such ingredient in this product creates a significant gap between consumer expectations and the actual product.
In reality, what I found was essentially a tomato-based seasoning mixture without meat, something I could easily prepare at home using a tomato and a few basic spices. For this reason, I believe the product name and packaging visuals create an expectation of a meat-based bolognese sauce and are therefore misleading to consumers. I believe the product should be clearly renamed something such as “Bolognese Sauce Seasoning” or “Bolognese Sauce Mix” so that its name accurately reflects what is actually inside.
I am also planning to submit complaints to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and the Turkish Competition Authority regarding this matter. I request that Knorr make the necessary corrections to the product’s name and packaging, use clear and transparent wording that does not mislead consumers, and provide me with an appropriate response regarding the inconvenience I experienced.
