SimSimi App Sends Sexual Content and Profanity to 7-Year-Old

9

On June 25, 2024, my 7-year-old daughter downloaded an app called SimSimi from the Play Store, thinking it was an innocent AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT. When I took her phone and looked through the chat history, I was shocked to discover that the app had been sending her explicit profanity, disturbing messages, and sexual content.
The presence of such severe profanity, disturbing behavior, and sexual content in an app that children can so easily download is a completely unacceptable safety failure. As a parent, I have serious concerns — not just for my own child, but for all children. I have already filed a complaint through Google Play, flagging the content as inappropriate.
I am demanding that SimSimi and Google Play Store officials urgently investigate this matter and take immediate action to prioritize child safety — including launching a formal review of this app and, if deemed necessary, shutting it down or blocking it so children cannot access it.
