DramaWave Charged $8 via Google Play After Subscription Cancellation
On August 8, 2026, I purchased a one-week package for the DramaWave app through Google Play for $6. At the time of purchase, it was stated that I could use the service until August 15, 2026, and cancel my subscription at any time.
Relying on this information, I canceled my subscription via Google Play on August 14, 2026. However, around 1:20 AM, when I checked my pending credit card transactions, I noticed that another charge had been processed on my card on August 14, 2026—this time for $8. The billing descriptor on my statement appears as "lıdıo / Google dram yurt dışı".
Despite canceling my subscription, having another deduction processed on the very same day—and a day before the original plan was set to expire—is completely unacceptable. Charging me a higher fee after I exercised my clear right to cancel is entirely unjust.
Therefore, I demand an immediate refund of the $8 charged to my card on August 14, 2026. I also request an explanation as to why this billing error occurred and that proper controls be put in place to prevent similar issues in the future.
