ChatGPT Image Generation Silently Fails With No Error Message Shown

I use the ChatGPT app on my Tecno Camon model phone, with my Google account, on the free plan. As of yesterday, when I try to use the image generation feature, no image gets created at all. When I give a prompt and wait, no error or warning appears on the screen, no notification comes through — it looks as though something is processing, but in the end no image is ever produced.
Before this, the app was working normally for me, but right now I can't use the image generation feature at all. The complete lack of any guidance, error message, or information also makes it impossible for me to understand what the problem actually is.
I am requesting a technical review of this image generation issue on ChatGPT's end, that this feature be made to work properly and without interruption even on the free plan, and that whatever bugs are causing this in the app be fixed. I also expect that in similar situations, users be shown clear and understandable information or a warning.
