WorldRemit does not allow canceling an incorrect transfer. How can I fix a transfer sent to the wrong number?

• Log in to your account immediately and locate the transaction under “My Transfers.” If it still shows as “pending” or “in process,” take note of the reference number.

• Contact support via https://www.worldremit.com/en/contact-us, selecting “I sent money to the wrong number.” Explain the situation and request a block if the funds haven’t been collected yet.

• Provide as many details as possible: amount, date, incorrect number entered, and the correct one if already identified.

• If the money has not yet been withdrawn, WorldRemit may be able to stop the transaction and either refund the money or allow you to resend it correctly. This isn’t always guaranteed, but it’s often possible if action is taken quickly.

• If the funds have already been collected, the process becomes more complex. WorldRemit may open a claim, but they do not guarantee a refund once the money has been delivered.
