If SBI debited your account twice for the same NEFT transaction and you want a refund;
Contact SBI Customer Support;
• State that your account was debited twice for one NEFT transfer
• Provide the NEFT UTR/reference number(s), date/time, amount, and beneficiary details
• Mention whether both debits show the same UTR or one is marked as pending/failed
• Attach bank statement screenshots showing the duplicate debit and any NEFT confirmation messages
Ask them to;
• Confirm the actual status of the NEFT (successful once, duplicated debit, or one failed)
• Reverse the duplicate debit automatically if only one NEFT was processed
• Provide a clear timeline for the refund (NEFT reversals usually take a few working days)
• Give you a complaint/ticket number for tracking
• Escalate the issue to the NEFT/Payments team if needed
If the issue persists, share your experience and consider filing a complaint on Xolvie to seek a resolution.
