Defective Genotropin Pen Discharged Itself and Caused $165 Financial Loss
I purchased a 12 mg Genotropin pen from Elif Ateş Pharmacy in Karatay, Konya, paying $165 out of pocket. After bringing the medication home, we stored it in the refrigerator; however, when we checked it on the morning of Friday, May 21, 2026, we discovered that the pen had completely emptied itself.
Even though I did not misuse the medication, having it discharge on its own in this manner caused both a health grievance and severe financial loss. When I contacted the pharmacy regarding this issue, I was given a dismissive response stating, "that sort of thing can happen," and no solution was offered.
I demand that this self-discharging incident be fully investigated and that the $165 I paid be refunded to me to resolve my financial hardship.
