If OFX failed your payment due to missing details and you want to fix it quickly;
Check the failure notice carefully;
• Log in to your OFX account → Transfers and open the failed transfer
• Read the exact error or reason (missing beneficiary info, bank code, purpose, etc.)
• Check your email (including spam) for an OFX message requesting additional details
• Note the transfer reference number
Identify what details are missing (common causes);
• Missing or incorrect beneficiary name (must match bank records)
• Missing IBAN / account number or SWIFT/BIC code
• Missing bank name, branch, or address
• Missing payment purpose / reason (common for international transfers)
• Missing intermediary bank details (for some countries/currencies)
Update the transfer details in OFX;
• Edit the beneficiary information and add the missing fields
• Double-check spelling, numbers, and country-specific requirements
• Save the changes and resubmit the transfer if prompted
