Riot Support Refuses Email Change on 10-Year-Old League of Legends Account
I have been actively playing League of Legends on the Turkish server for about 10 years, and I am the only owner of my account with the in-game name “wuthrad#0042”. Despite this, for about the last 5 months, I have been regularly opening tickets to Riot Support to have the e‑mail address registered to my account changed, but I cannot get any results. My only request is that the e‑mail address of my main account, and the other accounts linked to the same old e‑mail, be changed to a new e‑mail address that I can actually access. I clearly state that I am the owner of the account, and I am trying to prove this in every way. I have provided my first-ever username on the account, ticket numbers from about 7 years ago, the first skin I purchased, and all other information I was asked for. In addition, I received an email from Google confirming that the old email address was opened in my name and that it has been deleted, so I can no longer access it. This message alone already proves that I was the owner of that e‑mail address. Despite all this information and documents, I keep receiving standard and dismissive replies from support saying that the information I provided is “not sufficient. I answered every question they asked, I tried many times over 5 months, but instead of a real review, I feel like my request is being passed over with copy‑paste messages. Expecting me to remember the exact e‑mail I used 10 years ago, when I was 13–14 years old, is not realistic, and the Google notification already confirms that the deleted e‑mail belonged to me. I request that my account ownership be properly reviewed based on the information I provided, the old, now‑deleted e‑mail in my name be accepted as proof, and that the e‑mail address of my League of Legends account and the connected accounts be changed to an active e‑mail I can access, so that I can securely continue using my 10‑year‑old account.
Even though I do everything I can, they don't help at all. They keep giving the same answer: 'they couldn't verify that the account belongs to me.' I've answered everything they asked. It's perfectly normal that I can't remember some details of the account I opened 10 years ago, and I already have access to the account, and moreover the email I got from Google Support clearly proves that it is mine. I don't understand.
Thank you, it took a bit long but I'm very glad you helped in the end.
