Instagram Account Suspended for Unusual Activity and SMS Code Never Arrived

My Instagram account was suddenly suspended with a warning that unusual activity was detected and that my account needed to be secured. I was not informed of any specific rule violation, and I had been using my account in a normal way before the suspension. On the recovery screen I was asked to choose a way to recover my account. I selected the option to receive a security code via my phone number/SMS, but although I tried this, no code was ever sent to my phone. Because of this, I am currently unable to complete the verification process and cannot access my account. I request that my account be recovered as soon as possible, that the suspension be removed, and that any restriction or suspension note on my profile be completely cleared. I also ask that the phone/SMS verification process be checked, because I am not receiving any codes even though I choose that option.
