If your step counts and workout data aren't being recorded correctly in Google Fit, try the steps below to make recording more accurate:

1. Allow Activity Tracking: Click on the profile icon in the Google Fit app, then tap "Settings." Make sure that "Track your activities" is turned on.

2. Give Permissions That Are Needed: Go to "Settings" on your device > 'Apps' > 'Google Fit' > "Permissions" and log in to see "Physical activity," "Location," and "Sensors."

3. Turn off "Battery Optimisation": Go to "Settings" > "Battery" > "Battery Optimisation" on your device. Find Google Fit and choose "Don't optimize" to let it run in the background without being disturbed.

4. If you want to get more correct calorie and activity numbers, go to the Google Fit app, tap the profile icon, then "Settings," and change your height and weight.

5. Make sure the app is up to date: Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of Google Fit by going to the Google Play Store and changing the app if it needs it.

6. Calibrate Device Sensors: Some gadgets let you calibrate their sensors. For specific directions, look at the user manual or support website that came with your device.
