I received an email late at night from an address starting with “customer coinbase help 101,” from a service I am not a member of and whose name I had never heard before. Even though I have no membership, account, or transaction relationship with Coinbase whatsoever, this email was sent to me. The message asks me to click on a link and states that identity verification is required, claiming that something has been flagged by an automated fraud system. Receiving such content despite having no connection to this company is both disturbing and concerning from a security perspective. I am requesting that Coinbase or the relevant party responsible for sending this email investigate how my information was obtained, confirm in writing that I do not have an account or registration if that is the case, and ensure that no further emails or notifications of this kind are sent to me. I also request that my personal data not be used without my consent and that the necessary checks be carried out, with clear feedback provided to me on this matter.
