Bosch Refused to Cover Rusted Basket of My Dishwasher After Warranty Ended




The cutlery basket of my Bosch dishwasher has started to rust. When I spoke with Bosch customer service, they said they could not assist because the warranty had expired, but that they could offer help for a fee if I wished. I genuinely wonder how the rusting of a cutlery basket could be considered a user error. I would understand if I had broken the device or caused damage to a moving part due to misuse, but in this case, the basket is simply rusted, and it is clearly a manufacturing defect. They mentioned there is a 10-year rust warranty on the body of the machine, but not on the basket, which is quite an illogical policy. I kindly request that my grievance be resolved. Additionally, I would like an investigation into why I was not contacted about extending the warranty, especially considering that others were called for this opportunity.
