StarShort Payments Made Without My Permission

I recently discovered an unauthorized subscription charge on my Barclays account under the description “Starshort TV and Drama,” even though I have never signed up for or used your service. On 8 August, £15.32 was taken from my account without my consent. I only realised this when checking my statement. I have since received an email about a failed payment attempt of 19.99 (in a foreign currency) for a Starshort subscription, which again I did not authorize. The email and information I can see indicate that this is a Hong Kong based Chinese TV drama service, and I do not speak Chinese, nor have I ever had any interest in or intention to subscribe to such a platform. I did not create an account, start a free trial, click on any ad to sign up, or give permission in any way for recurring payments to Starshort. From my perspective, these charges are completely unauthorized. I have already contacted you by email but have not received any response yet. I request that you immediately cancel any account or subscription that has been created in my name or connected to my card and confirm that no further charges will be attempted. I also request a full refund of the £15.32 that was taken on 8 August, as well as any other amounts that may have been charged without my knowledge or consent. I ask that you investigate how my card details were used and provide a clear written response as soon as possible.
