On July 24, 2025, I purchased a 2025 Renault Megane 4 Icon Package 1.33 TCe vehicle with a special ÖTV (Special Consumption Tax) discount from the Kayseri Gülpar2 Renault dealership, based on my mother’s 97% disability report. I received the vehicle around 4:30 p.m. on the same day. Since I live in Nevşehir, I began driving there immediately. About 30–45 minutes into the drive, a warning light appeared on the vehicle’s screen. I pulled over, checked the error screen, and took a screenshot. I called the dealership, and they told me to contact roadside assistance. Roadside assistance directed me to a service center in Nevşehir since I was nearby. I spoke with the service team, told them the car was still drivable, and delivered the vehicle the next morning. At that time, the odometer read only 94 km. We waited a week for the fault to be diagnosed, and in the end, they said it was a turbo failure. However, they also stated that the parts were not in stock and that we would need to wait 10–14 days. As of today, the car still hasn’t been delivered. This was the first brand-new car I’ve ever purchased, and I only got to drive it for 45 minutes. It’s been 14 days in the service center, and I haven’t even had a chance to show it to my family or take my children for a ride. Our disappointment is beyond words. What makes this situation even more troubling is that we bought this as a disability-designated vehicle, meaning we are not allowed to buy another new car for the next 10 years under the law. Naturally, this raises serious concerns for us—will the issue recur, and what happens after the warranty period ends? I made a formal request for a vehicle replacement, which I believe is the most reasonable and natural course of action, but I was verbally told that they would not approve it. I now sincerely ask: have we been wronged or not? Why are we being denied a replacement for a vehicle we could only drive for 45 minutes? We expect Renault to resolve this issue and offer a fair solution to our situation.
