I Face Unfair Ban and $10 Fee Demand on Ome TV App

While using the Ome TV app, I was engaged in a normal conversation with another user when I briefly showed a document. Immediately, the system’s algorithm flagged my activity and I was wrongfully banned. Following this, I discovered that in order to lift the ban, the platform was demanding an additional $10 payment.

This practice is unacceptable. There was no inappropriate behavior, no violation of community rules, and yet my account was restricted without justification. Worse, there was no clear legal basis or proper explanation for demanding money to remove the ban. Although the user agreement may vaguely mention such penalties, this approach is inconsistent with EU law and Turkish law, as it unfairly penalizes users without transparent reasoning.

I also attempted to contact Ome TV’s support team, but I received no meaningful response. The algorithm’s misclassification of harmless behavior as a violation causes serious harm to users. At the same time, the platform seems to ignore or even tolerate much more serious issues, including hate speech and abusive actions, while punishing ordinary users unfairly.

I demand that Ome TV update its algorithm and user agreement to prevent these wrongful bans and that my ban be lifted immediately without any payment. Additionally, Ome TV must take responsibility for protecting its users and ensuring compliance with legal standards instead of exploiting them financially.
