Discomfort and Unwanted Themes on Netflix
As a family that values human rights and embraces an open-minded approach, we must express our discomfort with the frequent portrayal of substance use and homosexuality in Netflix content. Initially viewing "Baby Reindeer" as an ordinary stalker story, we were disappointed to find it taking unsettling turns and delving into extreme narratives just a few episodes in. While we respect artistic freedom, clear labeling of content allows viewers to make informed choices. However, incorporating substance use to boost ratings leaves us questioning the platform's motives. Effective immediately, we are canceling our subscription and removing Netflix from our household. We refuse to support efforts that lead society astray and promote negative content. We will also advise our community against using this platform.
