When you book a flight on Kiwi.com, travel insurance is not included by default. However, you can add it during the booking process or later in the My trips section of your account if you are not an American customer.
Kiwi.com offers insurance through Travelex Insurance Services and a Travel Protection Plan through AXA Assistance USA, Inc. for people from the United States. For people from every other country, AXA Assistance handles the insurance.
According to the latest information presented on Kiwi.com, Americans can cancel their Travelex insurance up to 15 days after buying it, as long as their trip hasn't started. All passengers must cancel at the same time. AXA Assistance USA, Inc. lets you cancel within 10 days, but the rules are different in each state.
People from outside of the United States who have AXA insurance can cancel for any traveler up to 48 hours before the trip. With AXA Assistance, they can also change their protection levels from Travel Basic to Travel Plus or the other way around. You need to read the plan documents carefully to get all the information you need about how to cancel and your coverage options.
