Google disabled my family group on Google Family Link without warning. What steps can I take to restore access?

If Google recently turned off your family group on Google Family Link without telling you, the first thing you should do is find out why it was turned off.

Sign in to your Google account and look over any emails or alerts from Google Family Link or the Google Account Team that you may have missed. Google may disable family groups if they notice strange behaviour or if an account doesn't follow the rules for age or the terms of service.

Once you know what's wrong, check the Family Link app or the Google Families website (https://families.google.com/families) to see if you can recover or re-enable your group. Following Google's steps for age verification may be what you need to do to make sure your child's account is real.

If you can't directly re-enable the group, you might want to make a new family group. To do this, go to Family Link, get rid of any members that are already there, and make a new group with the right members and settings.

If these steps don't fix the problem, use the help section of the Family Link app to call Google Support directly. Explain what happened and ask for detailed advice on how to get your family group back together.
