We recommend that you do not use Finish dishwasher powder to handwash dishes in a pinch for several reasons. It wouldn't damage your dishes in one use, but there are risks:
• For handwashing, Finish dishwasher detergent may be too harsh because it is designed for hot water and high pressure. Powerful cleaning agents may dry or irritate skin.
• Finish and other dishwasher detergents produce little suds to prevent overflow. To clean hands effectively, you'd need more suds, which could waste powder.
• Concentrated dishwasher detergents can irritate skin and eyes, raising safety concerns. Finish powder can aggravate cuts and sensitivities when washing hands. Therefore, use hand dish soap for safe and effective dishwashing.
