XM closed my open positions due to high margin suddenly, how can I appeal this decision?

XM automatically triggers margin calls and stop-outs when account equity falls below required maintenance levels—typically closing positions starting with the largest losses to protect your balance.

However, if your trades were liquidated unexpectedly or due to a platform error, you can appeal the decision through XM’s trade investigation team.

Take screenshots of your open positions, account balance, and margin level before closure (if available) and request a “trade audit” via XM’s official support form.

Clearly describe the timing of the closure and any connection or platform issues you experienced.

If the issue persists after contacting the support, share your experience and consider filing a complaint on Xolvie to seek a resolution.
