Prezi feels laggy on my laptop—how can I improve performance?

Start by looking at your browser and system specs. The newest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari are best for using Prezi. Having too many tabs or apps open at the same time can slow things down a lot.

If you clear your browser's cache and turn on hardware acceleration, your GPU will be able to handle images better.

Also, cut down on parts of your Prezi that use a lot of resources. For example, big, high-resolution images, complicated animations, or videos that are embedded can all cause lag.

If the problem still happens, check your internet speed. Prezi is in the cloud and needs a stable, fast connection to work properly.

You might want to download the Prezi Video or Prezi Next desktop app for presentations you want to show when you're not online. It usually works better than the web version.

Finally, make sure that all of your laptop's drivers are up to date, especially the ones for the graphics card. Also, remove any browser add-ons that might be slowing things down.

If none of the above solutions work, please feel free to share your experience. You can also file a complaint on our website.
