Pegasus SARAJEVO-ISTANBUL Flight Cancellation Without Reason
My name is Andac K**. First of all, PEGASUS AIRLINES has subjected us (TOURISTICA July 23-30 Tour Passengers) to a significant ordeal. Our PEGASUS flight from SARAJEVO (SJJ) to ISTANBUL SABIHA GÖKÇEN (SAW) PC-294 on 30/07/2023, scheduled for departure at 17:55 and arrival at 20:40, reservation number: 3GUNG7, ended up as a complete disaster. Initially, our flight was postponed to 19:15 and then to 19:32. However, we were unable to board the plane as the doors had closed by 20:30. After being boarded, we waited for takeoff on the plane for 2 hours. There was a drunk man on the plane who vomited and fainted; during this time, the cabin crew were not professional. They asked if there was a doctor on the plane for my friend, which should have been announced and clarified. They initially thought the man was having a heart attack, but later it became clear he was drunk, and he was seated. During this time, due to the lack of food and water service and the waiting time of over 7 hours, everyone was hungry; babies and children were crying, the elderly's blood pressure had started to drop. We were trapped inside the plane in an inhumane manner. Subsequently, using weather as an excuse, our flight was canceled without any reasonable explanation, and we were disembarked. We collected our luggage, and they crammed around 80 people into a 50-person bus in a manner resembling a fish market, creating a humanitarian drama. They accommodated us at the Saray Hotel. Additionally, due to the unjust cancellation of our PEGASUS flight, we missed our connecting flight from ISTANBUL (SAW) to ADANA (ADA) scheduled for 31/07/2023 at 01:15, arriving at 02:40, Turkish Airlines flight with booking reference "TLNRGH." We are all working individuals, and we had to inform our workplaces that we would be coming to work one day late. We are experiencing a significant ordeal. We are aware of our compensation rights for flight delays and cancellations. However, neither the flight staff nor the airline informed us of this; we had to learn about it ourselves. We are demanding a flight compensation of 500 euros and reimbursement for the cost of the Istanbul-Adana flight ticket. You can find the relevant documents and all the paperwork attached.
