Mapfre Insurance did not cover my unexpected emergency surgery

It's been a long time since I first signed up for Mapfre Insurance's private health insurance. I recently underwent an unexpected emergency surgery as a result of a herniated disc bursting. My claim for coverage was denied by the insurance company because the procedure was out of scope. I'm not sure why they'd limit themselves to the current year of coverage when I've had this policy for many years. People have been waiting for the insurance company to approve my request for emergency surgery, but their decision has yet to be made. Will I be able to rely on the insurance company to provide the coverage I require, or will I have to take matters into my own hands and pay for the surgery myself? I strongly urge Mapfre Insurance to consider my long-term coverage and approve my emergency surgery application as soon as possible.
