I Request a Refund for ₹17 Lakh Lost Through Batery Bet Transactions

I am a Bank of India customer from Surat and I am writing to raise a serious complaint regarding a total loss of around 17 lakh rupees from my accounts through an online betting application called “Battery Bet.” My Bank of India account number is 270010510009310 and the account is in the name of Mehul Vagh***. Around May 2024, I started losing money through transactions made from various UPI apps linked to my Bank of India account, such as PhonePe and Google Pay, which were used to deposit money into the Battery Bet application. Over time, these repeated deposits and losses have added up to approximately 17 lakh rupees. I did not properly understand the risks and security issues involved, and now a very large amount of my savings has been lost through this betting app. I request Bank of India to urgently investigate all the betting-related transactions connected to my account, especially those going to or coming from the Battery Bet application and any linked UPI payments. I also request that you take all possible steps to recover and refund my total loss of 17 lakh rupees, and to block or restrict such suspicious betting transactions on my account in the future so that this does not happen again. I am extremely distressed by this situation and I expect a detailed explanation and a proper resolution from the bank as soon as possible.
